Ever since the makers announced the sequel to the show, there has been a lot of excitement about it. The new show has been on air for some time and has already topped the TRP chart. But now, Kokilaben aka Rupal Patel has decided to leave the show shocking all her fans. Now, her costar Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who plays Gopi Bahu, has reacted to the news. Devoleena says that she is surprised by Rupal ji’s decision and will definitely miss her. In an interview with Pinkvilla, she expressed how she feels.
I am very shocked and unhappy to know this. Honestly, as a viewer and co-actor, Saathiya without Koki is unimaginable. I will really miss her on sets and I really hope that she comes back. Though I am not happy, I respect her and her decision. She is senior and experience and a great personality. At the same time, I will miss the opportunity to learn more from here. The bond Gopi and Koki share onscreen and offscreen will be missed. I will miss the scenes of Gopi and Koki.
Rupal ji has always maintained that her role in the new version of the show was for a limited period only. There is a buzz that Devoleena and Mohammed Nazim aka Ahem will also leave the show soon so that the new family can come to the center stage.
