
Oscar-winning actress, Lupita Nyong’o recently opened up about shooting for the second franchise of Black Panther. During an interview with Good Morning America, the actress talked about shooting the film without the lead actor of the previous film, Chadwick Boseman. Sharing in a virtual interview on Good Morning America. She said-“It’s gonna be different, of course, without our king to go back into that world”.
However, Lupita is optimistic that director Ryan Coogler has some exciting things to do for the much-awaited sequel. She said—“I know that all of us are dedicated to carrying on his legacy in this new Black Panther. She further added— “Ryan Coogler has some really, really exciting ideas that I look forward to bringing to life with the rest of the family.”
Earlier this year, Marvel boss Kevin Feige confirmed that Chadwick’s role of T’Challa would not be reprized and that the film’s focus would be on Wakanda instead. He was quoted as saying—“So much of the comics and that first movie in the world of Wakanda. Wakanda is a place to further explore characters and different subcultures. This was always and initially the primary focus of the next story.”
Chadwick Boseman, who played King T’Chella / Black Panther in the Marwad Cinematic Universe, died last year after battling colon cancer for 4 years.
