Mindy Kaling is celebrating her son’s first birthday!
The year-old actress and Never Have I Ever producer shared a sweet post for Spencer’s birthday on her Instagram, and also revealed the cute nickname she calls him.
In the photo, baby Spencer is facing the opposite way, while holding onto a bouquet of balloons filled with bright colors, also a Mickey Mouse and Elmo.
“Friday was my son Spencer’s first birthday. My daughter Kit is pretty cautious with new people. Not this guy,” wrote Mindy. “If you happen to make eye contact with Spencer, he lights up like you are old war buddies and he makes a beeline to you.”
She continued, “I had Spencer during Covid and it was a strange isolated time, but the instant I saw him I knew he would make everything better. And he did!”
Mindy then revealed Spencer’s cute nickname: “Happy birthday, Spike!”
Mindy is also mom to three-year-old Katherine, nicknamed Kit.
Recently, Mindy opened up about her kids’ middle names after a fan commented on their “Caucasian” given names.
