Choreographer Farah Khan choreographed the final song on the late Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput’s silver screen in his posthumous release Dil Bechara. The title track of the late 2020 film Dil Bechara starring the late actor Sushant will be released soon. Widely regarded as one of the best choreographers in the Hindi film industry, Farah has choreographed more than 100 songs in over 80 Hindi films.

For the famed choreographer, she had the opportunity to work with Sushant on the 2020 release. While the trailer of Sushant’s much awaited movie Dil Bechara received a tremendous response, Farah opened up about the title track of the romantic drama, which Sushant will record as the lead actor on the final screen.

Farah, who has won six Filmfare Awards and a National Film Award for Best Choreography, spoke at length about working with the late actor for the title track of the film. Speaking about the song, Farah explained how Sushant completed the one-shot song in half a day. The 55-year-old said the song was particularly close to her, as it was the first time she had choreographed for her late star.

“We were friends for a long time but never worked together. I had also promised Mukesh Chhabra that when he makes his directorial debut I would do a song for him. I wanted the song to be done as a one-shot song because I knew Sushant would be able to do it perfectly because I remembered Sushant had once come to a reality dance show that I was judging as a celebrity guest and that’s the only time the celebrity guest danced better than the contestants on that show,” Farah said.

Farah recalled that Sushant wanted food from her house after wrapping up the shoot for the song in half a day.  The ace choreographer rewarded her with home food as the actor had ‘nailed’ the song ‘perfectly’.”I see the song and all I can see is how alive, how happy he looks in it..and this song is always going to be very special for me,” she added.

Sushant was only 34 when the Bollywood actor committed suicide at his Bandra residence on June 14. The last song of the Dil Bechara title track composed by legendary AR Rahman was shot on Sushant. Directed by Mukesh Chabra, the film is slated for a July 24 OTT release.
