Tiger Shroff has been on a roll! From signing the Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood film, Rambo, to reuniting for the sequel to his debut film, Heropanti, he has done some interesting projects! Now, he is reported to be ready to play a boxer in an upcoming, two-part sports drama titled Ganpat.
Directed by Vikas Bahl, a Mumbai Mirror report quoted a source as saying that Tiger is a huge fan of MMA, wrestling and boxing, and wants to do a film at the venue. So when Vikas told him the script, he immediately rode on it. Tiger will play the role of a boxer named Ganpat in the film based in Mumbai, who will pursue his journey from a Mumbai boy to a world class boxer.
You may have seen Tiger developing his physique during lockdown. The report stated that because he was propping for his role as a boxer, who demands a certain buffed physique, he had to work on his appearance.
This Instagram video he recently uploaded seems to be for the prep of this film:
This will be the first time that director Vikas Bahl will be working in action and sports. But the source tells the publication that this is a story at its core with an emotional father-son sub-plot. Sources say that the search is on for the role of Tiger’s father in the film.
I am sure I am excited to see Tiger playing a boxer and I am sure he will be great at it!
