Earlier this week, Alia Bhatt unveiled the teaser of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited Gangubai Kathiawadi. The teaser received excellent reactions from the audience as well as celebrities. From Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan to Priyanka Chopra, Ram Charan, SS Rajamouli, Katrina Kaif, everyone praised the film’s teaser. Now, according to a report by Pinkvilla, a sourcereveals that Alia is lending her voice for a song in the upcoming period-drama.
The publication quoted a source as saying – “Alia is a really good singer, while Mr Bhansali is a celebrated composer, so the duo decided to collaborate for a song in the film. The composition will be in a more intense space and both Mr Bhansali and Alia are looking forward to it”
Meanwhile, actor Ajay Devgn is set to start shooting for the film today, where Alia will also join him. For the unsurpassed, Ajay has reunited with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after 22 long years. He last worked in ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’.
Gangubai Kathiawadi is inspired by a chapter from novelist Hussain Zaidi’s Mafia Queens of Mumbai.
