Nimrat Kaur, who was last seen in 2016 in the film Airlift with Akshay Kumar, has worked on two international projects and a web series over these 5 years and is now coming back to the sets of the film, Dasvi, along with Abhishek Bachchan and Yami Gautam. The actress is set to join the cast this Friday, while Abhishek and Yami have started shooting at the Agra Central Jail.
Talking to The Times of India about this, Nimrat says that this is a place she has not visited before and it was a ‘no-brainer’ to say yes to the project. She says that people cast an actor in similar roles, if they are good at it, in turn stereotyping, and that it is necessary to break that mold.
About working with Abhishek Bachchan for the first time, she says that they she says that they haven’t met or exchanged notes on this film and that it should mostly happen on set, spontaneously. She will be sharing screen space with Yami for the first time and says that she does not value conversations about who has more screen time. Nimrat shared that it is all about being happy and making great films and she is really eager to know more from Yami and Abhishek.
