Parineeti Chopra appears on a roll! After receiving rave reviews for her performance in the recently released, The Girl on the Train, she is set to appear in a more powerful role in the film ‘Saina’, the trailer of which has been launched today!
Saina is a biopic based on the life of our country’s famous female badminton player Saina Nehwal. The movie is directed by Amole Gupte in which Parineeti plays the role of Saina Nehwal.
Essaying someone’s role in a biopic is not an easy task. But it seems that Parineeti has got this mark by getting the character’s feel and form to embody the essence of the story and the soul of the character. The film follows Saina’s journey to the nation to realize her dreams, all the sacrifices, sweat, tears, joy and pride.

The film also stars Manav Kaul in pivotal roles. It was initially to star Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role, after which Parineeti stepped into it.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Front Foot Pictures, Saina was set to release in September 2020 last year, but was pushed by the COVID-19 epidemic. Now, it is set for a theatrical release on March 26, 2021.
