Kabir Khan’s ’83, a film based on India’s historic victory in the 1983 Cricket World Cup, has been one of the most awaited films of the year! The film stars Ranveer Singh and it has also become the first Indian film to inspire the creation of a brand.

Reliance Entertainment, Phantom Films, and Mahesh Bhupathi have joined hands to create a brand called ‘83 Believe‘. The brand has launched a massive product lineup in several categories. It is reportedly valued at over INR 200 million – the widest consumer product range launched by any film-based asset in India.

’83 was scheduled for a theatrical release on April 10 last year but was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, the film is scheduled to release on June 4, 2021. The film stars Ranveer as the former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev alongside Deepika Padukone, who is set to play his reel-life wife on screen. It will also feature Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Jiiva, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Nishant Dahiya, Sahil Khattar, and Amrita Puri.
