Bollywood Actress Shruti Sharma is geared up for her debut film Pagglait, which is set to release on Netflix. The film stars Sanya Malhotra in the lead role, with Shruti playing a pivotal role with her. The actress shared her experience in filming Pagglait as the film was extra special for her, as it was shot in her hometown – Lucknow.
Talking to online news portal Miss Malini, Shruti Says
It was unforgettable, This was my first ever Bollywood film and I didn’t feel like I was acting. It felt like I was living another life.
Shruti has previously appeared on television shows like Namak Issk Ka and Gathbandhan. She acted in a Telugu film opposite Naveen Polishetty, Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya.
Talking about how she bagged and toke up the role in Pagglait, she says that somewhere, Lucknow was the reason. With Lucknow being her hometown, she was very excited about going back to her home. She says that it had been two years since she had come to her house and that the entire filming felt like a holiday for her.
Elaborating about her character in the film, the actress says that her character is opposite to what she is in real life:
My character Nazia Zaidi is a very simple Lucknow based girl who is staying in Delhi for her job. She comes back for Sandhya’s husband’s funeral. She is a very simple girl who works and is independent! But despite of being independent she is a follower, she looks upto Sandhya for small things in life! So basically Nazia is different from Shruti! She is totally the opposite.
Pagglait is set to release on March 26 on the streaming platform Netflix.
