Sunil Shetty has always been someone who has led a life of discipline and fitness. Reportedly, the actor is set to host a radio show, and it’s called ‘21 Din Wellness In’‘ on BIG FM, where he is going to talk about staying fit himself and adopting a holistic and healthy lifestyle – Breaking myths about various aspects of a healthy life and giving suggestions on fitness, dieting, mental health and more. I got the opportunity to have a quick chat with the man himself, where he said that this is a show made for the general public, for people from all walks of life and it’s all about ordinary life .
Their idea is that whatever you start practicing, it takes 21 days to become a habit, and their goal is to make people a habit of well-being. They say “in 7 days you will feel it, in 14 days you will see it and in 21 days you will hear it from everyone around you, and that is the purpose of their show”.
Given that he is addressing mental health on the show, something has happened in today’s time that is not only a topic for the millennial generation, but also some people of the older generation trying to understand and understand it Are – especially after the epidemic.
Talking about mental health he said that this is a different struggle for each generation, and that people from generations of our parents and grandparents are still experiencing nothing but loneliness, potentially affecting their mental health.
He adds:
We give our parents “gyaan” about all this from what we read on social media. We might not follow it ourselves, We tell them to not go out right now, and how it is not safe. But we also don’t give them our time, given we are always busy. This show is thus, designed to address this concern from a children’s perspective as well as from a senior citizen’s perspective in order to bring about a change.
Speaking about the fad diets that people follow, most people are influenced by celebrities. He has always been eating simple, organic foods that are grown in their backyard and kitchen and that is what the show is also going to talk about – simple nutrition makes it accessible and easy.
When asked about a lifestyle change he made in his life that changed the game for him, he answers very simply – “Discipline”. He says it is super important to start and walk with something and dedicate one hour a day to yourself as “ME time”.
We’re super excited to hear more of such conversations on ’21Din Wellness In’, which is now playing on BIM FM.
