Abhinay Deo reportedly confirmed in February that he is preparing for Aankhen 2 alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Siddharth Malhotra and Akshaye Khanna. Now, according to a Midday report, it is heard that Big B and Siddharth have opted out of the thriller.
Initially as planned, the film was to be shot in May in the UK and other parts of Europe with Siddharth, Akshay and Sunil Grover, while Amitabh Bachchan was expected to join her later.
The publication quoted a source as saying— “In the past two months, there was little progress on the impending schedule. Since the film was taking longer than expected to go on floors, Bachchan saab and Sidharth could no longer put their other projects on hold and graciously bowed out of the movie. Sidharth will be tied up for the next few months with Mission Majnu and Thank God while Bachchan saab started shooting for Goodbye.”
The makers have reached out to Anil Kapoor and Rana Daggubati for the thriller Aankhen 2 replacing the originals.
