Ace filmmaker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has just completed 25 years in Bollywood. The maestro has given us some of the best and most beautiful films of the last two decades. And now, according to reports, he is poised to bring two Bollywood iconic characters together on the screen of Heeramandi- Rekha and Madhuri Dixit.
Rekha and Madhuri were last seen together at Rajkumar Santoshi directed, Lajja in 2001, and fans will be thrilled to see them reunited on screen again.
Sanjay Leela Bansali’s ambitious project, Heeramandi will be released on Netflix. Speaking in a similar vein, the ace filmmaker had issued a statement that read, “Heeramandi is an important milestone in my journey as a filmmaker. This is an epic, first-of-its-kind series based on the courtesans of Lahore. It is an ambitious, grand and all-encompassing series; therefore I am nervous yet excited about making it. I am looking forward to my partnership with Netflix and bringing Heeramandi to audiences all over the world.”
Reports indicate that actor Sonakshi Sinha will be seen playing the lead role.
