Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar have been a hit on-screen pair. And after Toilet Ek Prem Katha, we will see both of them once again in Aanand L Rai directorial Raksha Bandhan. The film is a family drama that revolves around the love, bond and attachment between a brother and his sisters. The film has been on the floors since June and is now entering the second phase of shooting.
Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar and Aanand L Rai will start shooting for Raksha Bandhan in Delhi from 10 September. Other cast members of the film include actresses SSahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb, and Smrithi Srikanth, who will be seen playing Akshay’s sisters.

Raksha Bandhan will be Akshay and Anand’s second collaboration. The two have also worked on another romantic drama titled Atrangi Re starring Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush. As for Bhumi, she has previously worked with Anand in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. Raksha Bandhan is jointly written by Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
