Chehre: Amitabh Bachchan’s monologue in the film to be recreated as a video for women’s safety

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan never fails to deliver a stellar performance. Even in his latest film Chehre, Big B has done a great job. Now with its release today, the Rumi Jaffrey directorial is getting some amazing reviews and there are a lot of things that are being talked about from the film. One of them is the monologue given by Amitabh Bachchan in the film.

In Chehre , Mr. Bachchan delivers a 13-minute monologue on violence against women which takes the narrative to the next level. Even other actors, Emraan Hashmi, Krystle D’Souza, Rhea Chakraborty and Annu Kapoor are receiving accolades for their performances. However, it is the monologue that is setting the world record. And according to a report in Bollywood Hungama, it is being said that this monologue will be converted into a video for the safety of women.

alking about this monologue, producer Anand Pandit told the portal,

No actor in the world has delivered such a long and revealing monologue on any issue. You will be surprised to know it was Bachchan Saab’s idea. He thought it would be a good idea to elevate the debate on the issue of rape and women’s safety in the film to another more universal level, and he was right.”

Anand Pandit also shared that the monologue was penned by Mr Bachchan himself. And the amazing thing is that Big B gave this monologue in just one take. Now the makers of the face want to share this monologue in the form of a video for free to all the organizations working for the safety of women.
