Samantha Ruth Prabhu filed a defamation suit against some YouTube channels a few days back. The said channels were allegedly running false news about his personal life. She accused him of spreading malicious material about extramarital affairs and abortion. Samantha’s lawyer had requested a Hyderabad court for urgent hearing of the matter, however, the request has been denied.

The Kukatpally court in Hyderabad, where Samantha filed the defamation suit, has refused to speed up the proceedings, holding that the law is equal for all. Reportedly, Samantha and her lawyer have been suggested to apologize to the owners of those YouTube channels and digital platforms.

Earlier this month, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya officially announced the end of their marriage. Soon after, several YouTube channels and digital platforms came up with their own principles for separation. From extramarital affairs to abortion, Samantha questions the theory and its character.

Earlier, Samantha had put out a statement clarifying all rumours around her. “Your emotional investment into a personal crisis has overwhelmed me. Thank you all for showing deep empathy, concern and for defending me against false rumours and stories that are being spread. They say I had affairs, never wanted children that I am an opportunist, and now that I have had abortions. A divorce in itself is an extremely painful process. Let alone allowing me the time to heal. This attack on me personally has been relentless. But I promise you I will never allow or this or anything else they say break me,” she wrote.
