Janet Jackson’s much-awaited documentary is coming!
The 55-year-old pop icon premiered the trailer for her upcoming Lifetime and A&E documentary, Janet, on Monday (Sept. 6) and it features a ton of stars.
The clip includes a brief description of the contributions of stars such as Mariah Carey, Paula Abdul and Missy Elliot.
“This is my story, told by me, not through someone else’s eyes. This is the truth. Take it or leave it, love it or hate it: This is me,” she says.
The documentary comes at the same time as the 40th anniversary of Janet’s debut with her 1982 self-titled album.
It will premiere in January on Lifetime and A&E over two nights, and will feature never-before-seen interviews and footage.
“Hey u guys. Excited to share the first teaser of my new documentary with u. 😘 #JanetDoc,” she wrote on social media. Check out the trailer!
