Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez hold hands as they arrive in Venice!

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez arrive for the 2021 Venice Film Festival together on Thursday (September 9)!

They are in town for Ben, who is promoting Ridley Scott’s The Last Duel.

Ben co-wrote the script with his BFF Matt Damon. They both also star in the film with Adam Driver and Jodie Comer.

The Last Duel will premiere in Venice on Friday (September 10).

The film is set in the midst of the Hundred Years’ War that explores the all-encompassing power of men, the weakness of justice and the strength and courage of a woman ready to stand alone in the service of truth. Based on real events, the film delves into long-held notions about France’s final sanctioned duel between Jean de Carrogues (Damon) and Jacques Le Gris (Driver), the two friends becoming bitter rivals. Carrouges is a respected knight known for his bravery and skill on the battlefield. Le Gris is a Norman squire whose wit and eloquence make him one of the most admired nobles at court. When Carrogues’ wife, Marguerite (Comer), is viciously attacked by Le Gris, a charge she denies, she refuses to remain silent, proceeding to accuse her assailant of bravery and disobedience. An act of his which endangers his life. The ensuing trial by war, a fierce duel to the death, places the fate of the three in the hands of God.
