Chloe Bailey whipped her hair over her head during her explosive performance at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards at Barclays Center in New York City on Sunday night (Sept. 12).
The 23-year-old singer enthralled the crowd with her performance of her new song “Have Mercy”, which was introduced by her sister, Halle Bailey.
“This year, she has stepped into her own artistry, sharing a message of self-expression and self-love and I’m so, so, so proud of her. I love you sis!” Halle shared on stage.
Chloe opened up to Billboard about coming into her own solo journey recently.
“I found my confidence – like, ‘OK, you can do this now,’” she shared. “I always have my sister’s support, and she will always have mine, no matter what we do together or individually.”
Chloe added about her album, “I’m creating my own lane, as well as paying homage to the ones who have inspired me. It has been fun finding my voice.”
