Buddy Valestro is doing a lot better these days!
A year after crushing his arm in a horrific accident at his home bowling alley, the 44-year-old Cake Boss star shared an update about his recovery with Rachel Ray, saying he’s basically working at full capacity again.
“I say we’re about 95% [healed] — which if that’s as good as it’s going to get, Rachael, I’ll take it,” Buddy shared in a sneak peek for an upcoming episode of The Rachael Ray Show.
Last September, Buddy seriously injured his hand while trying to fix a pinsetter in his home bowling alley.
After undergoing five reconstructive arm surgeries and physical therapy, Buddy’s hand has steadily improved.
“It’s definitely been an amazing ride,” Buddy continued in his interview with Rachael. “The fact that I was able to still do what I love, like doing that last seasons of Buddy vs. Duff, it was amazing because of the fact that I could still do it.”
Rachel then praised Buddy’s endurance during his recovery.
“You know, once you get over a certain age, 95%, we’ll take it for anything,” Rachael joked. “Our memory, our body, our back — if we’re at 95%, we’re good.”
“Amen,” Buddy replied.
