Tobias Menzies is reacting to his win at the 2021 Emmy Awards.
The 47-year-old actor picked up Outstanding Supporting Drama Actor for his role as Prince Philip on The Crown.
While he couldn’t be at the show in Los Angeles, nor the cast celebration in London, Tobias made a statement on social media, where he turned the win over and dedicated it to the late Michael K. Williams.
“Very humbled to win @TheEmmys last night, huge thanks to @TVAcademy & congrats to all my brilliant fellow nominees,” he wrote on Twitter.
Tobias then added he wanted to “dedicate this to Michael K Williams, his performance as Omar in The Wire is one of the great screen performances, he will be deeply missed. RIP.”
