Richard Buckley has died at the age of 72.
Fashion editor and designer Tom Ford’s longtime love died on Sunday (September 19) at his home in Los Angeles.
Tom’s fashion brand announced the devastating news with an official statement to Vogue.
“It is with great sadness that Tom Ford announces the death of his beloved husband of 35 years, Richard Buckley,” the company said. “Richard passed away peacefully at their home in Los Angeles last night with Tom and their son Jack by his side. He died of natural causes after a prolonged illness.”
After years of writing for various newspapers and magazines, Richard was named editor-in-chief of Vogue Homes International in 1999.
Tom, 60, and Richard got married back in 2014, and they’ve been together for 35 years.
