There has been much debate over who should be the next man to play James Bond, and some fans are campaigning for a woman to play the role.
Daniel Craig is not one of those people who think that a woman should be cast in the iconic role.
The 53-year-old actor, who will play his final role as James Bond in No Time to Die, wants women to get their own iconic roles.
“There should simply be better parts for women and actors of lour. Why should a woman play James Bond when there should be a part just as good as James Bond, but for a woman?” Daniel told Radio Times.
Barbara Broccoli, the producer of the film series, had earlier made a similar statement in 2019.
“We have to make movies about women and women’s stories but we have to create female characters and not just for a gimmick turn a male character into a woman,” she said on Good Morning Britain.
