Joe Giudice is opening up about ex-wife Teresa Giudice’s engagement announcement.
In case you didn’t notice, Teresa revealed that she was engaged to now-boyfriend Luis Ruelas after just a year of dating.
Louis proposed to Teresa earlier this week during a romantic getaway in Porto Heli, Greece, where they displayed sparklers, candles, roses, a violinist and fireworks.
“It was absolutely exquisite,” a source shared with People. “The choreographed fireworks display illuminated a ‘Marry Me’ sign as Louie got down on one knee. Teresa was completely surprised.”
Now, Teresa’s ex is opening up about the big news.
In a statement to Celebz!, Joe claims that he is happy for the newly engaged couple.
“I’m happy for Teresa and Louie, I give them my blessings,” Joe said, although he added, “I think they moved a bit quick into this romance but I’m glad she found her true love and wish them all the best.”
Joe had previously been deported from the United States for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud. After returning to Italy, he and Teresa divorced at the end of last year.
Teresa and Louis were earlier seen shopping in NYC this summer.
