‘Doon’ has a strong opening at the box office after the preview on Thursday!

Doon is off to strong!

The massively anticipated film grossed $5.1 million in Thursday’s preview (October 21), as Variety reported Friday (October 22).

The film was released in the U.S. over the weekend. and will release in 4,100 theaters across Canada, and is currently projected to generate $30 million to $40 million in its opening weekend.

The film is also debuting simultaneously on HBO Max, which may affect theater ticket sales.

Dune is a 1965 novel by Frank Herbert and the book was adapted into a 1984 film starring Kyle MacLachlan.
