Jennifer Nettles joined the cast of the Broadway musical Waitress this week and the show’s social media team shared a video of her performing a full song!
The Sugarland singer took over for Sara Bareilles and will play the lead role of Jenna until November 24.
The new video shows Jennifer performing a song called “What Baking Can Do” during her final dress rehearsal. You will see that some actors are not in costume and some are wearing masks while performing with them.
After her first performance in the show, Jennifer said, “Last night was a magical one for me. I cannot begin to tell you how special it is for me to jump into ‘The Diner’ as ‘Jenna’ in @waitressmusical. @sarabareilles and the whole team and cast have created such a beautiful world and story! My heart is full! See you tonight!”
