Celebs and filmmakers react to Alec Baldwin’s tragic accident, tribute to Helena Hutchins

Celebrities and filmmakers are speaking out on Twitter about the tragic accident on the set of Alec Baldwin’s film Rust.

Cinematographer Helena Hutchins has died and director Joel Souza is hospitalized after a prop gun being used by Alec misfired on set.

Police have confirmed that Alec is the one who discharged the prop gun and officers revealed more details about the tragedy in an official statement.

Elijah Wood, The Suicide Squad director James Gunn, and The League actor Paul Scheer are among those who have already spoken out on Twitter. Many people are paying tribute to Halyna and others are wondering why this tragedy happened in the first place.
