6 pieces of the most expensive costume worn by actors in Indian films

One thing that is usually common about celebrities is their expensive taste in fashion. It is not just their daily life that gives us an insight into the big bucks he spends on those clothes, but also the films he has worked in – usually involving a costume that comes with an odd price tag Huh. Apart from producing high-budget films, Indian cinema has also justified the fact that costumes play a big role in the making of films. Here are six actors who have donated expensive outfits to films.

1. Shah Rukh Khan In Ra.One

Ra. One was made on a budget of Rs 130 crore and was knocked out of the park by King Khan wearing the most expensive outfit in the film. The robotic suit featured in the film was worth around Rs 4.5 crore.

2. Akshay Kumar In Singh Is Bliing

Singh Is Bling featured Akshay Kumar in an asymmetric jacket and dhoti tunes draped in subtle tones. The interesting drama of embellishments and accessories made up her costumes in the film. The film’s poster appears to be laden with gold all around and Akshay is wearing a turban made of pure gold (reportedly) valued at Rs 65 lakh.

3. Salman Khan In Veer

Talking about Salman Khan, he wore super expensive armor for the film Veer and also worked on its script. She wore six of them and each came at a price of around Rs 20 lakh.

4. Hrithik Roshan In Jodhaa Akbar

When you work in a period drama, essaying the role of an emperor is certainly not as easy. Director Ashutosh Gowariker spent a lot of money on making the film and also on the costume. It is said that each fabulous dress donated by Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan cost around 2 lakh rupees.

5. Vivek Oberoi In Prince

Prince’s producers were not shy when dropping huge sums on Vivek Oberoi’s pointed leather jacket. He wore six different jackets throughout the film and each jacket cost around Rs 30,000.

6. Rajinikanth In Robot

South superstar Rajinikanth has also worn extravagant costumes in the movie Robot. Just as filming with Star is not a cheap deal, Manish Malhotra and international designer Mary E. The dress designed by Vogue also came at a hefty cost of around Rs 3 crore for Thalaivaa.
